Subject: Prevent Copying and Reply To -- a few suggestions
Feedback Type: Suggestion
Product Area: Notes 8 Client
Technical Area: User Interface
Platform: Windows XP client
Release: Beta 2
Reproducible: Not applicable

Just a couple of suggestions for the next point revision:

1) Prevent Copying. This is a little bit of a misnomer in that, it also prevents replying, forwarding and printing.

I think it would be great if this was changed to "Document Security" with radio button Enable/Disable and then individual checkboxes for "Prevent Reply" "Prevent Copy/Paste" "Prevent Forwarding" "Prevent Printing" etc. (all checked as default).

2) Reply To. If my suggestion above was implemented, this would be moot,
but, in the attempt to discourage people from replying to a one-way communication, I've tried setting the Reply-to address to "DO NOT REPLY" hoping people will get the hint. However - this creates a very conflicted message for the end users:

So, if the options proposed above for Document Security cannot/will not be implemented, could there at least be an option for preventing reply, and a dialog box that says something to the effect of "The sender equests that you do not reply to this message".

Both of these suggestions arise from the frequent need to send a one-way communication, such as, "the cafeteria will be closed today" or "reminder - company picnic tomorrow" or whatever. There may be information people want to print (like, directions to the company picnic, or screen shots of a new menu in the line of business application, etc etc), but is not a topic that is open for discussion. (no, I'm not moving the date of the company picnic because you've got a dental appointment, I'm not even the guy who decided there would be a company picnic, and no, the CEO doesn't want to discuss it with you, either.) :-)

Wondering what others think of this?
